Date: Wednesday, April 30 @ 7:00pm - Follow-up to discuss workshop

Place: First Presbyterian Church, 28 East Park Ave. Columbiana, OH 44408

Sponsored by THE HUB

Speaker: Dr. Jamie Marich author of You Lied to Me About God

Join memoirist and trauma therapist Dr. Jamie Marich (she/they) for a free workshop on how pen, paper, prayer and a willingness to look into our own lives can help us process and heal.

This workshop will appeal to anyone interested in writing, spiritual practices, or exploring their own vulnerability. Naming and processing spiritual trauma, especially for those who have been excluded from religious community, will be a specific focus.

In her memoir, You Lied to Me About God, Dr. Marich chronicles the harm caused by weaponized religion and describes how she discovered a healing faith wholly accepting of who she is: in her queerness, in her body, and in deep relationship to an expansive and loving God.
